Plattsmouth Junior Legion baseball team beats Nebraska City

PLATTSMOUTH - Plattsmouth erupted for three or more runs in three of five innings Monday night to defeat the Nebraska Junior Legion baseball team 13-5.

Plattsmouth rallied from a 1-0 deficit with six runs in the second inning and padded a 6-5 lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Blue Devils scored four times in the fifth to end the game due to the 8-run mercy rule.

Plattsmouth is scheduled to play at Blair Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and will be at Yutan Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The team will play at Syracuse Friday at 7 p.m. before playing a home doubleheader Sunday. Plattsmouth will play Papillion-La Vista Post 32 at 11 a.m. and will face Associated Fire Protection (Papillion-La Vista South) at 4 p.m.
