Loran R. Rose, 70, of Louisville died June 12, 2008, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

He was born Nov. 22, 1937, in Red Cloud to Matt and Edna (Blanche) Rose.

On Dec. 6, 1969, he married Shirley in Papillion.

Loran served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife Shirley of Louisville; sons, John of Flushing, Mich.; Jeff of Omaha; daughter, Leah Rischling of Omaha; four grandchildren; sisters, Donna and husband Herb Haefeker of Hastings; Shirlee Counterman of Dodge City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Matt, Bob, Dale and Harlan.

Memorial service was Tuesday, June 17, at 3 p.m. at Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, Louisville, with Pastor Paul Blanchard officiating.
