PLATTSMOUTH - A chain-reaction accident caused a three-vehicle accident July 9 just after 7 a.m.
Cass County Sheriff's department along with Plattsmouth police were called to the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 66. Investigators say Michael Ronk, 34 of Council Bluffs and Michael Seavers, 49 of Plattsmouth were in their vehicles in the northbound lane stopped for the traffic light.
Sheila Warner of Omaha was traveling north as she approached the intersection. She thought the light turned green and accelerated. She struck the rear of Ronk's car causing him to collide into Seaver's pickup.
Plattsmouth Rescue responded to the accident but no one requested medical treatment.
Warner was cited for following too closely.
Sheila Warner was driving North bound on Highway 75, approaching the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 66, and Warner thought the light had turned green, and Warner accelerated.
Warner's vehicle collided into the rear of Michael Ronk, which caused the Ronk vehicle to collide into the rear of the Michael Seaver's vehicle.
Seila Warner was issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the charge of following too closely.
Plattsmouth Rescue was on scene, but no transport for injuries was required, as all refused medical treatment.
