The body of an unidentified male was found in the Missouri River the morning Aug. 31.
Cass County Sheriff's deputies, Plattsmouth and Murray fire and rescue as well as are citizens helped recover the body found in an area of the river between Rock Bluff Road (Near Beaver Lake) and Lake Waconda.
He was first discovered by fishermen in the area.
The Sheriff's office is communicating with several other law enforcement agencies along the Missouri River, and investigating several leads to identify the victim. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday morning at Douglas County Hospital.
