Main Street Café in Louisville is celebrating more than St. Patrick’s Day March 17.
The restaurant, located at 221 Main St., is marking its second anniversary that day.
"We want to let everyone know we made it two years, which is a big milestone in the restaurant business," said owner Cory Chubb. "We’re two years and still growing."
Cory and his wife, Mandi, want to thank everyone for their support.
"We’ve had support from the town and surrounding area," Cory said. "When we started, myself included, there were people who didn’t think we’d make it. My father said, ‘Louisville’s never supported a restaurant.’"
On top of the skeptics, neither one had much experience in the restaurant business.
"It was a pretty big jump for us," Cory said.
That leap landed the Louisville area a wide array of menu choices including appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and hotdogs, house specialties, dinners, grilled entrees, potatoes and fresh pasta dishes. Breakfast lovers will find pancakes, French toast, omelets, biscuits and gravy and steak and eggs. There’s a lunch and dinner special every day of the week.
"We make everything from fresh ingredients and fresh meat. I order 40-60 pounds of hamburger every day. We never use frozen meat. It takes a bit more time and money to do that, but it’s worth it."
Whether you like comfort food or more healthy choices, there is something on the menu to suit your tastebuds.
Main Street Café is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday; and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
