The annual celebration known as the Kass Kounty King Korn Karnival has a new name:  The Plattsmouth Harvest Festival. 

The decision was made this past Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the monthly Korn Klub meeting following a presentation by the Karnival Future Ad Hoc Committee. 

After much discussion and input from both club members and community representatives, a motion was made to change the name of the celebration. 

The motion passed by a majority vote of voting members present.  In addition, a committee was appointed to review and update the existing by-laws of the corporation which will help the club sponsor, promote, manage, conduct and carry on the celebration for Plattsmouth and the surrounding communities.  The next meeting of the club is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Plattsmouth City Hall.  The public is invited to attend.
