PLATTSMOUTH - Plattsmouth Elementary School students had a sweet treat Friday morning when they decorated their principal with ice cream, syrup and all the other sundae fixings.

Elementary principal Claude Michel let 15 students turn him into a human ice cream sundae as a reward for the school's participation in the Scholastic Reading Program. Plattsmouth students submitted 13,410 minutes worth of reading.

Students had their names on reading coupons in a large bucket and PES staff picked names out of the bucket at random. Students who decorated Michel were Brock Bashus, Tyler Jaixen, Caleb Anderson, Nikole Jaixen, Kaitlyn Konkler, Faith Olsen, Raegan Hohenfield, Ethan Warrick, Jasmine Huff, Hannah Moore, Shaylin Savage, Reagen Woods, Matthew McIntire, Logan Hohenfield and Sully Owens.

Mr. Michel sure does make his position in the school seem quite friendly. It's good to know the kids can get to know the principal without spending time in his office for getting in trouble. Glad the kids can have fun with the grown-ups, and vice-versa.

Thanks Mr. Michel
