Snow is falling again in southeast Nebraska, but rather than a blizzard it's more like typical winter weather for this part of the state.

"It’s three to five inches in some spots," said William Cover, Cass County Emergency Management director. "We’ve had no reports of drifting or accidents."

Cover said he usually receives notice of a conference call with the National Weather Service when severe weather threatens. No emails or notices have been received from NWS so far.

"I’m supposing what we’re getting is nothing heavy duty," Cover said.

Snow is to continue to about 3 p.m. today with a 50 percent chance of it falling again tonight. Skies remaiin cloudy with a low of about 29 andnortheast wind 7-9 mph.

"New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible," NSW predicts for tonight.

Some snow is forecast for the upcoming weekend, although only a 20 percent chance Saturday as opposed to 60 percent Sunday when another inch of accumulation is anticipated.

Saturday skies are expected to be cloudy with a high of 32. East wind is expected around 7 p.m. Little or no snow accumulation is anticipated.

Saturday night southeast winds are forecast to blow at 6-8 mph. Less than a half-inch of new snow accumulation is expected.
