PLATTSMOUTH - Curtis Larsen will trade the blue colors of Plattsmouth for the blue colors of Peru State College when he hits the football field this fall.
Larsen, a senior at PHS, signed a letter of intent Friday to play football at Peru State. Larsen said he is eager to return to action next season after spending most of the 2009 campaign recovering from a torn ACL.
“I’m looking forward to competing right away and contributing in whatever way I can,” Larsen said. “I’m pretty excited about it.”
Larsen had 111 tackle points and 505 rushing yards as a junior and had 28 tackle points and 226 rushing yards this season. He will play linebacker in college.
“I’m ready to hit,” Larsen said. “It’s going to be fun.”
Larsen said he will major in special education teaching and will minor in coaching at Peru State.
In addition to his four years of football at Plattsmouth, Larsen also earned four letters in wrestling and will earn his fourth letter in track this spring. He is also a member of Spanish Club, Spirit Club and Letter Club.
